Welcome to Wig Making Training at Peretz Beauty Supplies, Salon & Academy

To ensure you get the best hands-on learning experience, all students are required to bring the following materials and tools to class.

Essential Wig-Making Tools

Mannequin & Wig Block

• Canvas block mannequin head (preferred)

• Styrofoam mannequin head (optional)

• Adjustable wig stand/tripod stand

• T-pins

• Measuring tape

Wig Caps & Foundations

• Dome wig caps

• Mesh wig caps

• Lace frontal wig cap

• Closure wig cap

• U-part wig cap (optional)

Sewing Tools

• Curved weaving needles

• Straight weaving needles

• Lace ventilating needle (optional for advanced classes)

• Black weaving thread

• Brown weaving thread

• Nylon thread

• Thread cutter/snips

Hair Materials

• Human hair bundles or synthetic bundles (depending on class type)

• Lace frontal or closure

• Wig elastic band

• Wig combs/clips

• Hair nets

Cutting & Styling Tools

• Hair cutting scissors

• Thinning scissors (optional)

• Tail comb

• Wide-tooth comb

• Paddle brush

• Sectioning clips

• Spray bottle

Adhesives & Products

• Hair glue (for glue-on wig classes only)

• Got2b spray/glue (optional)

• Edge control

• Hair mousse

• Heat protectant spray

• Wig shampoo & conditioner

Heat Styling Equipment

• Flat iron/straightener

• Curling wand or curling iron

• Blow dryer

• Hot comb (recommended)

Machine Wig-Making Students

(Only required for machine-sewn wig classes)

• Sewing machine

• Wig-making machine foot/accessories

• Extension cord

Recommended Starter Kit for Beginners

Students new to wig making are encouraged to start with:

• 1 canvas mannequin head

• 1 tripod stand

• Soft Measuring Tape

• T-pins

• Curved needles

• Black weaving thread

• 2–3 hair bundles

• 1 frontal or closure

• 1 dome cap

• Tail comb

• Hair clips

• Hair scissors

This starter kit is enough for:

• Hand-sewn wigs

• Closure wigs

• Frontal wigs

• Basic customisation practice

Optional Professional Upgrade Kit

For students wanting to start a wig business after training or wanting to do the machine wig sewing course:

• Professional canvas block set (multiple sizes)

• Industrial sewing machine

• Label tags & packaging bags

• Ring light for content creation

Recommended Class Preparation

Before attending class:
